Consulting various sources such as ABN AMRO’s retail vision and data from the CBS (Dutch Central Office for Statistics), the plan defines a well-founded view of the development of the project site. Innovatory retail and student accommodation are presented as the two pillars for the transformation of the strategic site. The plan proposes developing a Student Hotel on the project site. At the same time empty structures are built that, in the course of time, can be filled with new retail concepts, for example. To enable the area to fuse permanently, all the roads are moved underground at a later stage.
